StatSheet's Mountain West Player of the Week for February 13th goes to Mike Moser. Boise State's Anthony Drmic has won StatSheet Mountain West Freshman of the Week. Finally, Drew Wiley from Boise State has won StatSheet's Mountain West 6th Man of the Week.
Moser was the best in the Mountain West in blocked shots (4.0 per game). He also put up a strong showing in shooting (50%), rebounding (9 per game), and scoring (19 pts per game). The UNLV sophomore played well for the Rebels in a victory against 13th ranked San Diego State.
This is one of four StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week awards for Mike Moser. He has also finished second once and received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is our own Oscar Bellfield. Honorable mention goes to junior Chase Tapley from San Diego State.
StatSheet Mountain West Freshman of the Week: Boise State's Anthony Drmic
Anthony Drmic played 33 minutes while starting the only game for Boise State. In a 72-61 win over Air Force, Drmic contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Amazingly, Anthony Drmic has won the StatSheet Mountain West Freshman of the Week 4 times. The runner-up is Hugh Greenwood from New Mexico. Derrick Marks from Boise State takes honorable mention.
StatSheet Mountain West 6th Man of the Week: Boise State's Drew Wiley
Drew Wiley, a junior and a 6-7 guard, played 28 minutes during the single game for the Broncos. In the win against Air Force, Wiley added 11 points on 42% shooting.
This is the first StatSheet Mountain West 6th Man of the Week award for Drew Wiley. Kaipo Sabas, a senior guard from Colorado State, is the runner up. Dwight Smith, a sophomore guard from Colorado State, receives honorable mention. With this latest achievement, UNLV players have been named StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week 5 times this season.
